| One more event review |
[Mar. 2nd, 2012|11:37 am] |
I promise not to spam the community with every entry, but I just wanted to put in a plug for today's review, of the live music program at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore and Tea Room.
If that's not your cup of tea (har-har), then stay tuned, because tentative upcoming reviews will cover monthly storytelling events, a community band performance and a fund-raising euchre tournament.
I Did it So You Don't Have To: Is that event you've heard about worth it? I'll check it out and let you know! |

| Community calendar events - worth doing? I'll let you know |
[Feb. 28th, 2012|10:52 am] |
Hi Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti folks:
I started a blog about going to some of those events you see listed on community calendars and finding out if they're really worth attending.
So far, I just have up an introductory post explaining the concept and parameters and one post reviewing the current "Bad Habits" exhibit at the Museum on Main.
I'll be reviewing exhibits, musical events, classes and workshops, etc. and providing insider tips to help you get full enjoyment from them. So far, all the posts I have planned are positive, but if something is really suck-tastic and not worth the trip, I'll be sure to document that as well.
Feel free to read, follow, and pass around the link to "I Did It So You Don't Have To"! |

Anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity or available to be a pet foster let me know. Many local animal rescues in the area are in need of dog foster's and supplies. |

| Good Short Haircut |
[Sep. 27th, 2011|09:42 pm] |
I need a new haircut from a new stylist. I'm not loving Regis at Briarwood like I used to and need to find a new place/person I can see regularly.
Hoping for someone close by--would rather not go all the way downtown if I can help it. Closer to Packard and Stone School, the better.
Not more than $50 for a cut including tip. Someone who also does bleaching and color.
Good with short haircuts and no weird hangups about fat chicks.
Your recommendations are most appreciated! |

Hello,
My husband and I took in a stray kitten who was abandoned. I am allergic to cats though and we need to find him a good home. He is brown with white socks. He's very sweet, all checked out and treated at the vet now, snuggly, and gentle. Let me know if you need furry warm sweetness in your life.
Thanks,
Dee

Hi, Just wanted to tell folks that there's a new email group for A2/Ypsi folks- kind of like a freecycle for just book swapping! Imagine getting tons of books without having to wait at the library or pay money for them :). Feel free to join- would love to have new members!
Best, Dee |

| Rattus Norvegicus |
[Sep. 10th, 2011|02:06 am] |
Good day!
I need to get some pictures of some rats. Anybody know where I might encounter Rattus Rattus and/or Rattus Norvegicus? I'm hoping for clean ones, not *ahem* wild ones, but they need to be natural looking, not white like lab rats. (Yes, I'm clearly a rat racist! lulz)
Any point in the right direction would be most appreciated. |

I need to find some new places to eeat around town. I like Silvio's and Mediterrano. I also like Banfield's and Joe's Crab Shack. What are your favorites? I'm open to anything. |
